Participant Confidentiality Statement
You are being asked to interact with members of Willing Observers LLC as part of a diversity, equity, and inclusion cultural assessment process within your organization. As a participant, you are being asked to engage in a group conversation led by a member of Willing Observers LLC.
Data collected are for the purpose of identifying underlying expectations, assumptions, and attitudes about DEI, as well as patterns and themes in behaviors and practices which may impact DEI growth in your organization. Members of Willing Observers LLC will make every attempt to anonymize all data, including by issuing pseudonyms and by encrypting, safely storing, and limiting access to identifying information.
When you participate in a group conversation, we also ask that you maintain the confidentiality of your co-participants and avoid sharing sensitive information outside of your group.
Discussion Guidelines
We want to hear everything you have to say and invite you to participate as much as you can. Below are a few guidelines that we ask you to keep in mind as we talk with each other.
1. Keep it Confidential. Willing Observers will not tell anyone about your personal experiences. We ask you to do the same for your coworkers and keep what they say confidential.
2. Be Generous. Be generous with yourself and others. There are no right or wrong answers here. We are all learning and growing together.
3. Be Thoughtful. Be thoughtful and thorough in your answers. Silence is okay. You can take time to think about your responses. You should also try to listen as much as you speak.
4. Ask Questions. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. All questions are welcome and necessary for a productive and meaningful discussion.
5. Everyone’s Contribution Matters. Everyone’s input has value. We all have expertise and experience that is meaningful and that will contribute to our conversation today.
